American Fidelity Guaranteed Interest Account Option - The Guaranteed Interest Account Option is an investment option within our General Account where the principal and a minimum rate of interest are guaranteed, subject to the claim paying ability of American Fidelity Assurance Company. The account is actually a fixed annuity option (insurance contract). Interest is credited and compounded daily in order to pay an annual effective rate. Higher rates of interest in line with the interest rate environment can be paid at our discretion.
